Two chimney sweeps, both supposedly living the monogamous, hetero version of adulthood. Then life kicks down the door. One guy has a sexual encounter with another man and, annoyingly for the rules of polite society, does not treat it like a confession of a new identity or automatic betrayal. He actually talks it through with his wife afterwards. The other one is thrown off course by a sensual dream about David Bowie. Yes, Bowie. In his head. While the rest of his day keeps happening like nothing happened. Oslo Stories, SEHNSUCHT turns sexuality and gender roles into something messier than slogans. It’s funny in a dry way, and it keeps asking the uncomfortable question: what do you do when your feelings do not care about the categories?

Zwei Schornsteinfeger, zwei “normale” Ehen. Und trotzdem wackelt bei beiden das Ganze. Einer erlebt mit einem anderen Mann etwas Sexuellen. Keine Drama-Show, keine große Identitätskrise. Er will es eher als Moment begreifen und nicht als Beweis für “Untreue” oder “Homosexualität”. Was sagt man darüber nach dem Rauchabzug? Genau, natürlich mit seiner Frau. Der andere wird hingegen von einem sinnlichen Traum über David Bowie aus dem Takt gebracht. Bowie im Kopf, Alltag im Griff. Oslo zeigt hier ziemlich trocken, wie schnell Begriffe wie Treue, Begehren und Rollenbilder auseinanderfliegen können. Überraschend liebenswert, leicht unbequem und definitiv nicht geschniegelt.
